Bringing artists and audiences together

The Roots Circuit is an independent Madrid-based project presenting blues, folk and other forms of roots music in intimate, welcoming settings.

It grew from a love of live music and a simple belief: exceptional musicians can find enthusiastic new audiences when the right artists, venues and people are brought together. We organise carefully selected concerts, masterclasses and other opportunities for musicians and listeners to connect.

The project was founded by Stan Dickens, a British music enthusiast living in Madrid. Working personally with visiting and locally based artists, Stan brings musicians to intimate concerts and distinctive independent venues where the music can be heard properly and the audience can feel part of the occasion.

The Roots Circuit is deliberately personal and modest in scale. The aim is not to organise as many events as possible, but to create memorable ones—for the artists, the venues and everyone who comes to listen.
